The Oasis Pool is 32′(10m) x 16′(5m) and offers a depth of 3’ (1m) to 6.5’(2m). The Oasis Pool is used for recreational swimming and teaching child and adult swimming lessons. It even includes a wading pool for our younger patrons.

Oasis Pool is currently closed for open swim, (Septmeber to May)

Aquatics Programming Information


The MWR Aquatics program offers recreational swim, lap swim, swim lessons and a wide
variety of programming. Program registration can be completed at the Fitness Center Front Desk
or online.

Command Training

During this time period commands can reserve of the pool for usage for
command training with specialized equipment. Commands are required to follow the policies
outlined for reservations and reservation request forms must be submitted to the MWR Fitness
Pool Front Desk at least 72 hours prior. Please download Command  PT Training Form from the download section.

 

Navy Youth Swim Test


To attain full, unaccompanied access to the Aquatics facilities, and for other recreational
activities as needed, all youths 10- 16 must successfully pass the Navy Youth Swim Test. 
Children under 10 who wish to use the deep end must successfully pass the Navy Youth Swim
Test, and must be accompanied by an adult guardian at the pool at all times.  Please see complete
information and Navy Youth Swim License consent forms in the downloads, and see
the Lifeguards at either pool during regular pool hours, to request a swim test.   


Navy Youth Swim Test includes:

 

  •  Swim minimum of 25 yards unassisted and without rest.

  • Swimmers must use a recognizable Front Crawl or Breast-stoke, showing arm-stroke, propulsive kick, and rhythmic breathing (face in the water) for the entire distance.  No swimming underwater or on the back; no 'doggie paddling'.

  • Jump into the deep end of the pool and return to the surface, Tread water for a minimum of 60 seconds, then exit the pool unassisted.

Please note, the Navy Youth Swim License is valid for 1 year only, and all Bahrain MWR swim licenses expire yearly on December 31.

 

Pool Fees:

There is no fee for daily admission.
