Tiny Tots Storytime
Time: 10 a.m., Location: MWR Library
Details: Join us the first Monday of every month for stories, crafts, dancing, and more! Program is geared towards children ages birth – 2, but all ages are welcome. Parent/Guardian is required to stay with child(ren) for the duration of the program.

Sewing for Beginners
Time: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., Location: MWR Library, Cost: Free, Ages: 10+
Details: Join us on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month. Learn to hand sew basic stitches and fun embroidery techniques to make your wardrobe your own! Supplies will be provided.

Adult Reading Challenges
Date: April 1 – June 30, Location: MWR Library
Details: This quarter’s Reading Topics are: Earth Day, Cinco De Mayo, Spring, Mother's Day and Father's Day. Read a book with a word 'earth' in the title, with a word "waste or recycle" in the title, by a Maxican author, set in spring, about a Mother's love, about a Father's love or a book that was published in April/May/June. Once you have finished a book about one of the topics above, show us the book that you read and be entered into the quarterly drawing for a NEX gift card.

Book Face Photo Contest
Date: May 1 - 31, Location: MWR Library, Grade: 10+
Details: Take a photo of yourself or a friend using the book as a part of the image. Submit as many photos as you'd like! All entries should be turned in via email to nsa.bahrain.mwrlibrary@us.navy.mil between May 1 - 31. All entries must include your name, age and contact #. Submissions will be on display at the Library for voting from June 1 - 5. The winner will be announced on June 8 and receive a NEX Gift Card.

Comic Book Contest
Date: May 1 - 31, Location: MWR Library, Age Group: 10+
Details: Illustrate 2 - 10 pages of your own original comic book artwork. Submit all entries via email to nsa.bahrain.mwrlibrary@us.navy.mil between May 1 - 31. All entries must include your name, age and contact #. Winner will be announced on June 1.

Gulf Swim Challenge
Date: April 1 - May 31, Time: 6 - 8 a.m. & 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., Weekend: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Location: MWR Fitness Pool
Details: The first 100 participants to complete the 30,000 meter swim challenge by Saturday, May 31 will be given a T-shirt. Register at the Fitness Pool Front Desk by Tuesday, April 15. 

Purple UP! Family Fun Pool Day

Bahrain Comic Con 2025 5th Edition

Details: Comic con is back in Bahrain!
