Details: Join us for stories, music, dancing, and crafts! Parent/Guardian is required to sit with child/children.
Sewing for Beginners
Time: 3 – 4 p.m., Location: MWR Library, Cost: Free, Ages: 10+
Details: Join us on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month. Learn to hand sew basic stitches and fun embroidery techniques to make your wardrobe your own! Supplies will be provided.
Adult Reading Challenge
Date: October 1 - December 31, Location: MWR Library
Details: This Quarter’s Reading Topics Are: Columbus, Halloween, Veterans, Fall, or Thanksgiving. Read a book with a word "Columbus" in the title, a book with a "skull" on the cover, about Veterans/Soldiers or War, a book with "fall" in the title, a book published in November or a Thanksgiving receipe book or a about Snowmen, a book with a red or green cover. Once you have finished a book about one of the topics above, show us the book that you read and be entered into the quarterly drawing for NEX gift card.
Stay & Play
Time: 3 - 4 p.m., Location: MWR Library, Age Group: Birth - 2 years
Details: Join MWR Library on the first and third Thursday of each month for our new baby and toddler group! The group will have crafts, songs, toys and creative learning. Group is geared towards birth to 2 years. Parent/Guardian are required to stay with their children for the duration of the group.
Kids Autumn Art Contest
Date: Nov. 2 - 30, Time: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Location: MWR Library
Details: Calling all artists who love to draw, color or paint. Enter this contest for an opportunity to have your amazing artwork displayed at the Library. Drop off your artwork by Sunday, November 30. One entry per person. Winners will be announced on Sunday, December 7.

Bench Press Challenge
Date: November 2 - 30, Location: MWR Fitness Center, Fee: $12.00
Details: Make an appointment starting November 2 - 30 to record your heaviest lift. Bench press challenge will consist of three attempts to complete the heaviest lift. The bar must be loaded progressively during each round/attempt on the principle of a rising bar. At NO TIME will the weight on the bar be lowered.
Chad 1000X Workout
Date: Tuesday, November 11, Time: 5 - 6 p.m., Location: NSA 2 Pierside
Details: Find the strength to keep going, Even when it's hard!!! Join us in one of his favorite workouts and lets honor the fallen. Wear your best RED, WHITE and BLUE outfit. Registration fee includes t-shirt, food and drinks, post workout!!!
- Workout to honor the memory of Chad Wilkinson US Navy Seal.
- This workout will be held wordwide in his honor.
- Bring your friends and partner-up or perform on your own.
- Sand bags will be provided. If you'd like please bring a 30 or 20 pound vest.
- Expert who want to perform like Chad bring a 45 pound rucksack.
Details: The Bahrain School and Child & Youth Programs (CYP) have counselors available to meet with families and students to help address: Parenting and family issues, communication challenges, stress and anxiety, sadness, grief, and loss and everyday life issues. Veterans Day Swim Challenge

Details: Complete a 500-m Swim, and receive a beach towel. Available to the first 60 who complete the swim. once you complete the 500-m Swim, then you are eligible for an additional 250-m Challenge Swim and receive achallenge coin, available to the first 10 who complete the Challenge Swim.
The challenge is to swim a 250-m Individual Medley (IM):

Pearling Path Walking Tour
Date: Friday, November 14
Time: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Cost: $57.75
Details: The pearling path extends about 3 kilometers, starts from the pearling sites near Bu Maher fort which was built in 1840, to Siyadi House in the heart of Muharraq, which will serve as the main pearling museum. During your walking tour through the old island you will be able to see also Beit Al-Ghous, the Welcome center, Bin Fares House and Souq Al Qaisariy. Inclusion: Transportation, Tour guide & Refreshments. Transportation provided by the tour company from the NSA 1 pedestrian gate.
