Details: Join us for stories, music, dancing, and crafts! Parent/Guardian is required to sit with child/children.
Sewing for Beginners
Time: 3 – 4 p.m., Location: MWR Library, Cost: Free, Ages: 10+
Details: Join us on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month. Learn to hand sew basic stitches and fun embroidery techniques to make your wardrobe your own! Supplies will be provided.
Adult Reading Challenge
Date: October 1 - December 31, Location: MWR Library
Details: This Quarter’s Reading Topics Are: Columbus, Halloween, Veterans, Fall, or Thanksgiving. Read a book that falls into one of these categories and once you have finished, show us the book and be entered into the quarterly drawing for NEX gift card.
Stay & Play
Time: 3 - 4 p.m., Location: MWR Library, Age Group: Birth - 2 years
Details: Join MWR Library on the first and third Thursday of each month for our new baby and toddler group! The group will have crafts, songs, toys and creative learning. Group is geared towards birth to 2 years. Parent/Guardian are required to stay with their children for the duration of the group.
Kids Autumn Art Contest
Date: Nov. 2 - 30, Time: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Location: MWR Library
Details: Calling all artists who love to draw, color or paint. Enter this contest for an opportunity to have your amazing artwork displayed at the Library. Drop off your artwork by Sunday, November 30. One entry per person. Winners will be announced on Sunday, December 7.

Bench Press Challenge
Date: November 2 - 30, Location: MWR Fitness Center, Fee: $12.00
Details: Make an appointment starting November 2 - 30 to record your heaviest lift. Bench press challenge will consist of three attempts to complete the heaviest lift. The bar must be loaded progressively during each round/attempt on the principle of a rising bar. At NO TIME will the weight on the bar be lowered.
Details: The Bahrain School and Child & Youth Programs (CYP) have counselors available to meet with families and students to help address: Parenting and family issues, communication challenges, stress and anxiety, sadness, grief, and loss and everyday life issues. Consultations and trainings are free and anonymous.

Open Trips
Details: You choose it, and we will do it!!! Sailors can now create their own trips every Friday & Saturday. Trips are selected on a first come first serve bases. Must have a minimum of 6 single sailors sign up. There is a $5 charge per sailor-not including planned activity or admission to any venue. Contact your SSP coordinator for more information.
