Tiny Tots Storytime
Time: 10 - 11 a.m., Location: MWR Library
Details: Join us for stories, music, dancing, and craft! Parent/Guardian is required to sit with child/children.
Sewing for Beginners
Time: 3 – 4 p.m., Location: MWR Library, Cost: Free, Ages: 10+
Details: Join us on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month. Learn to hand sew basic stitches and fun embroidery techniques to make your wardrobe your own! Supplies will be provided.
Adult Reading Challenges
Date: October 1 - December 31, Location: MWR Library
Details: This Quarter’s Reading Topics Are: Columbus, Halloween, Veterans, Fall, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas. Read a book with a word "Columbus" in the title, a book with a "skull" on a cover, about Vetrans/Soldiers or War, a bok with "fall" in the title, a book published in November or a Thanksgiving receipe book, about Hanukkah, about Snowmen, a book with a red or green cover or a word "Christmas" in the title. Once you have finished a book about one of the topics above, show us the book that you read and be entered into the quarterly drawing for NEX gift card.
Learn Basic Computer Skills
Date: Sunday, October 12, Time: 3 - 4 p.m., Location: MWR Library, Age Group: 10 & above
Details: If you consider yourself a beginning computer user and need help with basic computer skills, This class is for you. In this series of classes we will cover navigating different devices, mouse skills, keyboard skills, storing files, computer updates, troubleshooting and accessibility features. We will meet quarterly on the second sunday of the month.
Stay & Play
Time: 3 - 4 p.m., Location: MWR Library, Age Group: Birth - 2 years
Details: Join MWR Library on the first and third Thursday of each month for our new baby and toddler group! The group will have crafts, songs, toys and creative learning. Group is geared towards birth to 2 years. Parent/Guardian are required to stay with their children for the duration of the group.
MWR Bowling Alley will be undergoing some facility maintanence and will be closing on Oct. 5th.
Game Time Grill will maintain regular lunch time hours from 11am - 2pm, Sunday - Thursday, until Oct 16th. More information on reopening will be released at a later date.

Squat Competition
Date: Oct. 1 - 30, Location: Fitness Center
Details: Make an appointment starting October 1 - 30 for specific day and time. Squat competition will consist of three attempts to complete the heaviest lift. The bar must be loaded progressively during each round/attempt on the principle of a rising bar. At no time will be the weight on the Bar be lowered.
2025 Captain's Cup Volleyball League
Date: Starts October 20, Time: 5:30 p.m., Location: Main Gym
Details: Every Monday & Wednesday. Register at the Fitness Center by Wednesday, October 15 at noon. Coaches meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at noon in the Sports Office.
Navy Birthday 250 Workout

2025 Halloween 1-Pitch Softball Tournament
Date: Friday, October 24, Time: 9 a.m., Location: Memorial Field
Details: Register at the Fitness Center by Tuesday, October 21 at noon. Coaches meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 21 at noon in the Sports Office.

Youth Sports Flag Football and Volleyball Season & Smart Start Flag Football
Season: October 26 - December 20, Cost: $60 per child, Leauge & $30 per child, Smart Start,
Time: 3:30-4:30p.m., Location: Memorial Field (Flag Football), Youth Gym (Volleyball)
Flag Football and Volleyball Registration: August 17 - October 9
Details: Practices will be on Monday and Wednesdays and Games will be on Saturday Mornings.
Flag Football Ages: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 & 11-Up
Volleyball Ages: 10-13 & 14-18
Smart Start Flag Football Season: November 2 - December 7
Registration: September 14 - October 26
