ABOUT THE JOB This position is located at one of several food outlets located on or near NSA Bahrain. The food outlet provides food and beverage facilities for military personnel and their dependents. The incumbent of this position directs day-to day operations of club and food facilities, under the guidance of the food and beverage manager. The incumbent supervises the daily food, beverage and administrative functions, insuring that all departments are manned and operational, all health and sanitation regulations and requirements are enforced and followed. Manager’s monitor food, beverage, and general food outlet cost controls. The incumbent submits employee work schedules, work assignments and work evaluations to the Food and Beverage for final approval. The incumbent ensures proper cash handing procedures are followed, investigates discrepancies and makes recommendations to Food and Beverage Manager regarding appropriate action to be taken. Performs surprise cash counts of change funds and is responsible for proper billing of catered functions. The incumbent is responsible for booking facilities, providing assistance to patrons, setting up and supervising catered private functions including receptions and private parties. The incumbent ensures on a daily basis that the facility and equipment are in good operating order and free of safety hazards, monitors the daily maintenance of the facility, keeps the Food and Beverage Managers current regarding the status of the facility and equipment and takes action as directed by the Food and Beverage Managers for repairs required. Incumbent ensures continuous training for employees including writing training procedures, employee cross training, on-the-job training, stand-up training sessions and formal training programs. Incumbent ensures of special events are set up and accomplished as planned. Reviews input and recommendations upon completion of events to improve future operations. Incumbent attends command meetings and advisory board meetings.

BG-07: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years, One (1) year equivalent to at least BG-06. OR EDUCATION: Four (4) years course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree.
