ABOUT THE JOB 

This position is located at NSA Bahrain, Movie Theater, Community Activities Division of the Moral, Welfare and Recreation (MWR)
Department. Incumbent is responsible for the operation of the base movie theaters and the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). Opens and
secures the MPR, theaters and wifi lounge. Ensures facilities and setup to receive patrons, including tables, chairs, A/V as required (in
the MPR) and projector both (movie theater). Performs frequent checks inside the theaters to ensure sound level and picture quality
are properly set. Conducts security checks of oversized bags and backpacks of patrons entering the facility. Ensure movie schedules
and posters and posted in a timely manner. In case of an emergency, oversees the evacuation of the theater. Ensures sound systems,
lighting, and projection equipment are in good working order prior to reservations for the MPR and prior to each showing in the movie
theater. Sets up, operates and maintains equipment to produce coordinating effects of sound and on screen. Assists with special
events and entertainment when needed to support the community Recreation Department. Able to set up and operated the Navy
Entertainment sound system. Assists with special events and entertainment when needed to support the community Recreation

schedules and submits them to timekeeper.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 

BG-05: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Six (6) Month. OR EDUCATION: 1 year above high school with course(s) related to the
occupation, if required Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels and positions for which both education and experience are acceptable.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Applicant must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently.
• Applicant must be 18 years of age at the time of application.
• This position requires the incumbent be in good physical condition.
• The works requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing when overseeing programs.
• Recurring bending, stooping, stretching, twisting and heavy lifting (over 50pounds) is required.
• The work involves everyday risks and discomforts associated with these required by a recreation specialist are require
normal safety precautions, adequate HVAC, lighting, sanitation and safety features are readily available, may work in
extremely heat conditions.
