ABOUT THE JOB
This position is located within the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department, Recreation Division at Naval Support Activity Bahrain. The incumbent assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of facility. Provides facility and program information to patrons. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Demonstrates simple techniques. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Checks identification, collects fees when appropriate, and completes appropriate documentation. Receives returned items, inspecting for obvious damage and missing parts. Monitors equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility and equipment. Assists in directing patrons, scheduling the use of facilities and equipment. Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, activities, and related functions. Participates in and directs activities and social events as directed. Maintains the cleanliness of assigned work areas and performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material. Checks inventories and supplies.
